Size and sleeping

How many people can Villa Très Jolie sleep?

Sixteen in beds across six bedrooms, with a couch and two air mattresses in the living room for overflow. Four of the bedrooms have their own ensuite. The full bedroom list is on the villa page.

How many people can the Edgemont Village guest house sleep?

Eight: a king bed, two queens, plus a sofa bed and an air mattress in the living room. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Details on the guest house page.

Which home is right for us?

A family reunion, several families together, or a group that wants the water in view: the villa. A couple, one family, relatives visiting the North Shore, a ski trip to Grouse, or a work stint that needs a desk: the guest house.

Location

Where exactly are the two homes?

Both are in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Villa Très Jolie is near Deep Cove. The guest house is in Edgemont Village at the foot of Grouse Mountain. Exact addresses are shared after booking.

How far are they from downtown Vancouver?

The guest house is about 12 to 15 minutes by car across the Lions Gate Bridge. The villa is about 25 minutes via the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.

Do we need a car?

It helps at both. The guest house is walkable to Edgemont Village shops and cafés, and the villa is a short walk to the waterfront, but the mountains, Deep Cove village and downtown are all easier by car. Both have free parking.

Practical

Are pets allowed?

Yes at the Edgemont Village guest house. For the villa, ask before booking.

Is there parking?

Yes, free, at both. The villa driveway takes several cars. The guest house has driveway parking including an accessible spot and a lit path to the door.

How does check-in work?

Self check-in with a door code sent before arrival, at both homes. At the guest house, take the stairs on the left of the garage down to the private entrance.

Is there wifi and somewhere to work?

Wifi at both. The guest house has a dedicated workspace.

Can we hold a party or event at the villa?

Stays booked through Airbnb or Vrbo are for families and responsible groups, not parties. The villa is on a quiet residential street with quiet hours. For small functions, ask Maximilian directly.

Booking

How do I book?

Through Airbnb or Vrbo using the buttons on each property page, or by sending a direct request through Houfy, which adds no booking-site service fee. Maximilian confirms every request personally and payment is taken only after he accepts.

Is the availability calendar on this site accurate?

It is built from the same calendars Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and Houfy use, refreshed every few hours, and it shows when it was last checked. A booking is confirmed only when the platform or Maximilian confirms it.

What are the check-in and check-out times and the cancellation policy?

They are set on whichever platform you book through and shown before you pay.

Are the homes licensed short-term rentals?

Yes. The guest house carries BC registration H313932325, and registration numbers appear on each listing.

Who is the host?

Maximilian, an Airbnb Superhost for ten years, who owns both homes and lives upstairs from the guest house. More about Maximilian.
